For den første utstillingen i serien “Kunstner Kuraterer Kunstner” har den Oslo-baserte kunstneren Anna Sofie Mathiasen (DK) invitert kunstnerne Greg Pope og Arisa Purkpong til å stille ut sammen. Både Pope og Purkpong arbeider hovedsaklig med collage og flere ulike media. I tillegg til deres kunstneriske praksis, jobber de begge med kuratering og produksjon av filmvisninger og -serier. Blant annet er Greg Pope en av initiativtakerne og kuratorene bak visningskonseptet The Dream that Kicks på Cinemateket. Arisa Purkpong er medorganisator og -kurator for et filmseminar i forbindelse med markeringen av 50-årsjubileet for Erstes Internationales Frauenfilmseminar (1973) på Arsenal i Berlin. Mathiasens valg av Pope og Purkpong til kunstner kuraterer kunstner var grunnet deres arbeid med kunst og film, i tillegg til deres fascinerende kunstneriske praksis.

For the first «Artist curates artist», Oslo-based artist Anna Sofie Mathiasen (DK) has invited artists Greg Pope and Arisa Purkpong to exhibit together. They both work collage-based in a wide range of media. Besides their artistic practices, they both organize screenings and film programs. Among others, Greg Pope is the initiator and organizer of the screening program «The dream that Kicks» at Cinemateket, and Arisa Purkpong is co-organizing and -curating a film seminar on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of "Erstes Internationales Frauenfilmseminar" (1973) at Arsenal (Berlin). Besides their fantastic work, these contributions to the art and film scene were significant in Mathiasen's choice of Pope and Purkpong.

Anna Sofie Mathiasen (f. 1995, København) bor og arbeider i Oslo og København. Mathiasen arbeider med historisk arkivmateriale og personlige minner, ved hjelp av tegning, collage, installasjon, film og tekst for å skape nye kombinasjoner og nye fiksjoner. Hun har tidligere stilt ut ved IVAM Instituto Valenciano de Arte Moderno (Valencia, ES), Kunsthall Oslo, NO, Kunstnernes Hus (Oslo) NO og BO (Oslo, NO). Hun er representert ved Galleri K i Oslo og i 2023 tager hun del i O - Overgadens (København, DK) INTRO program.
Arisa Purkpong (f. 1995) bor og arbeider i Düsseldorf og Oslo. De studerte ved Kunstakademie Düsseldorf sammen med blant andre Trisha Donnelly og Christopher Williams. I sin kunstneriske praksis arbeider Purkpong hovedsaklig med video, fotografi og grafikk, og kollasj som de lager til publikasjoner og installasjoner. Deres verker er tidligere blitt vist ved Sammlung Philara, Düsseldorf (2021); Baustelle Schaustelle - Raum für Junge Kunst, Essen/Düsseldorf (2020); Am Ende des Tages, Düsseldorf (2020); KIT - Kunst im Tunnel, Düsseldorf (2019); and Tentacles Gallery, Bangkok (2019). Purkpong var også med å utvikle et visningskonsept i forbindelse med arrangementsserien Another Eye ved Kunstverein für die Rheinlande und Westfalen (Düsseldorf, 2022), samt Feminist Film Program (med støtte fra Claudia von Alemann og Christopher Williams) ved Black Box Kino (Düsseldorf, 2020).
Greg Pope (f. 1960, London) har holdt på med både punkrock og absurdteater, og var senere med å grunnlegge filmkollektivet Situation Cinema (Brighton, EN, 1986), og Loophole Cinema (London, UK 1989). Pope har arbeidet med lyd- og filminstallasjoner, paracinema, live art, film, foto og slide siden 1996 og arbeider både individuelt og i samarbeid med andre kunstnere. Hans performative arbeider er blitt vist blant annet ved Tate Britain (London), Issue Project Room (NYC, US), Artscience Centre (Singapore), El Nicho (Mexico City), MoMA (Seoul), BIM, (Buenos Aires), IMA (Brisbane, Australia), Stanford University (San Francisco, US) m.fl. Hans installasjoner er blant annet blitt vist ved Royal College of Art (London), Kunsthall and Fotogalleri(Oslo) and Galleri Vanntårnet (Nesodden).

Anna Sofie Mathiasen (b. 1995, Copenhagen) lives and works in Oslo and Copenhagen. Mathiasen works with material from historical archives and personal memory in drawing, collage, installation, film and text in order to create new combinations and new fictions. After dabbling in punk rock bands and absurdist theatre performance, Greg Pope (b. 1960, London) founded film collective 'Situation Cinema' (Brighton, UK, 1986) and 'Loophole Cinema' (London, 1989). Working collaboratively and individually, Pope has made sonic and video installations, paracinema, live art, film, photographic and slide works since 1996. Live work has been performed internationally, including at Tate Britain (London), Issue Project Room (NYC, US), Artscience Centre (Singapore), El Nicho (Mexico City), MoMA (Seoul), BIM, (Buenos Aries), IMA (Brisbane, Australia), Stanford University (San Francisco, US) and at many other locations across the world.
